Dear all,

As you have probably heard, Sciences Po Environnement and RIMUN are organizing a large-scale simulation of the COP23 on campus.

This conference will take place from Friday the 17th of November to Saturday the 18th of November. The cost is of 5 euros to take part in the conference alone and of 12 euros for the social pack, which allows you to participate in the conference as well as in a delegates’ cocktail on the Friday night. This simulation will offer you an introduction into the world of diplomacy, give you a feel for the importance of policy making when facing such a huge threat as climate change and allow you to interact with students from campus and outside of campus. Our team has prepared a series of crises for you to truly be in the shoes of a negotiator trying to defend his country’s or organisation’s values over the course of two days.

In order to register, you have to complete the attached form. You have different possibilities regarding the role that you can play during the simulation:

- You can be a delegate during the conference, and decide to represent a country, an international organization or an NGO, and you will defend your partie’s position during the conference. In this case, you have to choose 3 committees, 3 regions you would like to represent and 3 IOs or NGOs by order of preferences.

- You can also be part of the Fiji presidency. In this case, you will have the opportunity to participate in the organization of the conference by contributing to the writing of the draft resolution and by setting up crisis sessions with the organizing team. Consequently, you will chair instead of representing a country/IO/NGO during the conference.
